  In this era of big box hardware stores, I really appreciate this locally-owned and operated store nearby. While the store looks small from the outside, its inventory of products is surprisingly robust, allowing me to avoid the aggravation of shopping at the Madison Home Depot. While their prices are slightly higher, I save time and gas money by shopping locally. What I like most about the Waunakee Ace Hardware is the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I never have to search for an associate or wait helplessly at the help desk. Whether I need a certain type of wall hangers, the best paint option to touch up the bathroom wall or the right type of putty to repair a traditional plaster wall, the staff here patiently advises me on the pros and cons of each option. They make my trips to the hardware store soooo much faster and easier than any visit to a big box store. Other things I like: * Finding a good parking spot is always a breeze. * The Ace Rewards card offers rebates in the form of coupons based on how much you spend there. Even with my sporadic purchase history, I've received at least $50 of free stuff over the past couple of years.
